Don't Look Up
fav.me/d5whupy Set in a bank and seen from inside the mind of a normal employee. The bank teller's continuous stream of conscious introspection wanders from thought to thought, as he carries out his daily routines and activities. That is, until a stranger walks into the bank and the teller's intuitions kick in. The situation proves to be a life altering scenario, which the narrator believes will end badly, but the question remains…for who?
Short Review: From a philosophical perspective, this piece is highly original. The author begs the question: What if each of our perspectives are in fact different worlds, in vastly different planes of existence? And then, pits the contradictory ideals of chaos and fate together in a life altering event. Whichever of the bank tellers looks up to receive the stranger will undoubtedly pay the price if the narrator's instinct prove correct. Written as a singular train of thought from an individual, the author is consistent and accurate in this model and delivers a thought provoking plot and narrative.

fav.me/d5y1get Set in a future where genetically evolved humans, called "Neo's" are controlled by a government that doesn't trust them. The story follows a young man, with telepathic abilities, fresh out of a high security housing facility trying to enter society as a model citizen.Pre-labeled an outcast and menace to society, he finds work wherever he can. Tired of the struggle and with nothing to lose, he makes a choice that will change his life forever…
Short Review: The plot was rich and deep, carefully orchestrated and masterfully delivered. The history behind the story was amazingly woven into the multiple plot lines. The narrator's account was both painful and alarmingly plausible. The complexity of the premise brought about a story so layered with substance that it overwhelms the reader.

fav.me/d5y4mf6 In the distant future, in the Federated States of America (FSA), man's soul energy is now the universal form of currency."Repo Men" are the new enforcers of the law and Timmy Branches, all of 18 years old, must set out to look for his lost love, Sandy, whose soul has been put on the list for repossession. Running out of time, he breaks into the Nation Bank, where all of the country's souls are stored to rescue her. But what he finds there is more than what he bargained for…the truth!
Short Review: The writer incorporated different aspects of philosophy into this piece and complemented that with the supposed ideology of a technologically advanced society. The mixture of the two work well and blend together to create a world with purpose and offers the reader insight into the writers theories with respect to the nature of humans and the idea of a soul. The plot is intricately detailed and the story was presented evenly and succinctly.

fav.me/d5xpq5o Set in a rural south western town, the story follows the account of Sheriff Jacob Huston' s recent investigation into a bank robbery by a mysterious figure, who goes by the name of Ben Bright. Quiet and unassuming the old sheriff is thrust into a world where nothing is what is seems, as he himself has more to do with the criminal than he knows. Trusting no one in this tale of time travel and betrayal, it's only a matter of time before everyone's true intentions are revealed.
Short Review: Highly original time traveling piece in which the author takes great care in narrating every aspect of the mundane world Sheriff Huston lives in before completely switching gears. The combination of great delivery of dialogue and storytelling make this a well executed story, with great potential for branching out into a major script. The plot is clever all around and the writer does a good job in avoiding plot holes and inconsistencies. This piece was a well rounded effort, which involved a complicated plot.
We also have a few honorable mentions: 50 points each.
Straight-Lace with the short story "A bank robber's thoughts"
willwriteforhearts with the short story "The Thirties"
Winyube with the short story "That day at the bank"
The honorable mentions scores varied but they were chosen based on their originality, cleverness, enjoyment and just by the author thinking outside the box. They were really creative and all incorporated the keyword in a refreshing way.
Unfortunately, I can't write a review and a critique for everyone but critiques and scores are available upon request.
Thank you all for participating. It was fun reading all of them.
Thanks again.
